I'd like to spreak global awareness of the more unpublicized issues around the world. Any suggestions?

I would like to start this locally. The problem is, i'm a 16 year old high school sophomore. This means that I really have no influence over my local society yet. I do have money, and i'm willing to cut out a part of my paycheck every month to help the cause. Do you have any good suggestions on how to get this started? I mean Spread**

1. the Make a Difference foundation. It's for helping children who have been orphaned by AIDS in Africa.
2. amnesty international does alot of this work google them
