1. When you can actually think for yourself and realize that most of what you hear about man causing global warming could not possibly match what nature is doing itself.
2. I believe you may have missed the boat. Its been an "awareness" topic for a while now. Whatever "awareness" means, anyhow. I think I will start a kitty cat awareness movement for everyone who need to know how important kitty cats are.
3. I think it already did! People are aware of the concept. Whether one believes it is anthropogenic (man-made) or not, people are aware that the Earth is getting warmer. There will always be naysayers and people without enough education to get it - let's face it 20% of Americans believe the sun orbits the earth! It is a good thing for people to be skeptical and to have the tools to judge the evidence for themselves. However, many people are so poorly educated in the art of critical thinking and basic science that they are incapable of doing this.
4. Try researching the work of James Lovelock in the late 1960's and early 1970's.
